📍 LOCATION
Two Harbors, Minnesota • Along Minnesota’s North Shore

💰 COST
Free to visit

⏱️ HOW LONG DO YOU NEED?
That’s completely up to you. Make it a quick stop to see the falls or spend a few hours exploring. You can walk as much—or as little—as you want.

🥾 WHAT TO EXPECT
Waterfalls • Walking trails • Rocky overlooks • Lake Superior views • Plenty of places to explore

💦 GET CLOSE TO THE FALLS
One of our favorite parts was being able to walk out on the rocks and make our way down closer to the waterfalls. You can get right down by the water and even dip your hand in.

👨‍👩‍👦 GOOD FOR FAMILIES
There’s plenty to see without committing to a long hike, which makes it an easy stop to adjust to your family’s schedule. Just keep little ones close around the rocks, water and drop-offs.

🌲 OUR EXPERIENCE
We visited during the summer and it wasn’t crowded when we were there. The views were beautiful, and we loved that we could explore at our own pace. You don’t have to be a serious hiker to enjoy Gooseberry Falls—see the waterfalls, climb around the rocks, take in the views, and decide how far you want to go.

💡 OUR TIP
Don’t feel like you need to plan an entire day here. Gooseberry Falls works just as well as a quick North Shore stop as it does a longer adventure. Wear shoes with good traction if you plan to explore the rocks, and use extra caution near the water.
